Dr. Kären Marsden
Medical Director

Dr. Kären Marsden completed her undergraduate degree from the
University of Pennsylvania and then earned her DVM in 1998 from Tufts
University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Marsden was
board certified in Large and Small animal acupuncture by the
International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) in 2002. Dr.
Marsden has advanced training in Dentistry and Nutrition. She was
awarded Holistic Practitioner of the Year for North America in 2018 by
the AHVMA.

Dr. Marsden has practiced all over the world from being a veterinary
surgeon for WSPCA in Thailand’s spay neuter program for homeless dogs
and cats to working on orphaned sloths and howler monkeys in Costa
Rica. She enjoys treating all animals great and small with an
integrative approach to medicine and health care.

Dr. Marsden and her family have just moved to Bird Rock and are so
excited about the beautiful weather. She and her husband are both ASA
certified skippers and can’t wait to start sailing, as well as hiking
with their two weimaraners, exploring the beaches, and learning to
surf with their two sons.
